PITCHING LESSON WITH RAPSODO

Here's what you can expect from a pitching lesson with Rapsodo:

Warm-Up and Goal Setting:

We start every session with a comprehensive warm-up tailored to get your arm game-ready. Afterward, we discuss your specific goals—whether you're looking to boost velocity, fine-tune your curveball, or increase spin efficiency—so we can focus the session on what matters most to your development.

Rapsodo Integration:

Our Rapsodo machine is a powerful tool that provides real-time data on every pitch you throw. This technology captures essential metrics like velocity, spin rate, release angle, and pitch movement, giving us a detailed picture of your performance.

Initial Assessment:

Each client will throw a 30-35 pitch bullpen while the Rapsodo collects the data. We then review this information together, breaking down the numbers so you understand exactly what’s happening with each pitch as well as what the hitter see's out of the hand. This will allow us to put together a game plan of how to attack elite hitters and miss barrels.

Tailored Coaching and Adjustments:

Based on the Rapsodo data, we’ll make adjustments if necessary. Some of the most common adjustments are the release height, this is something I see frequently that is always a talking point to each client. Being inconsistent with release height will allow the hitter to see the ball coming out of different releases so therefore has the upper hand. We try and be consistent in this area so each pitch looks the same out of the hand.  I’ll guide you through specific drills and techniques designed to enhance your performance, helping you see measurable improvements in real time.

Ongoing Improvement:

Our sessions are all about continuous improvement. With each pitch, you’ll receive immediate feedback, allowing us to track your progress and adjust as needed. Over time, we’ll identify patterns and trends, helping you to better understand your strengths and areas that require more work.

Final Review and Future Goals:

At the end of each session, we’ll review the collected data and discuss your progress. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what’s working, what needs attention, and specific goals for your next session. I’ll also provide you with a summary of the Rapsodo data and recommended drills to practice between lessons.

TEAM PITCHING CLASS

Our team-based approach centers on achieving consistency and maintaining arm health. In our weekly pitching classes, we collectively explore the kinetic chain and key movements necessary for elite pitching. We also engage in discussions about pitching philosophy, focusing on strategies for success and techniques to challenge elite hitters. Teams will become familiar with a comprehensive warm-up routine, plyocare throws, and recovery practices. Each session incorporates diverse drills and throws, ensuring dynamic movement and the development of consistent mechanics within the group.

Here's what you can expect from a team pitching class:

Focus on Dynamic Movements

A major emphasis of these sessions is being more dynamic with our movements. Through targeted drills and exercises, we help pitchers of all levels develop a more dynamic delivery to help them throw at a higher intent as well as achieve repeatable mechanics.

Velocity Enhancement and Understanding

Increasing velocity is another core focus. We work on boosting speed while teaching the underlying mechanics that contribute to higher velocity. Our drills and coaching techniques are designed to help pitchers understand and improve their velocity.

Collaborative Learning and Personalized Coaching

While these sessions are team-based, each pitcher receives personalized feedback and coaching. The team environment encourages pitchers to learn from each other, share experiences, and push one another to improve. This collaborative approach builds confidence and competitiveness on the mound.

Progress Tracking and Goal Setting

After each session, we review progress and set goals for the next one. By consistently tracking development, pitchers gain a clear picture of their improvement over time, ensuring continuous growth and a clear path to achieving their goals.
